Herbert Mitchell Burns is an Instructor at The Way Martial Arts. He is a Black Belt NoGi World Champion in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with over 20 years of experience. He has won numerous international, national and titles around the world.

He is currently a professional MMA fighter with a 11-3 record competing in the UFC, the most prestigious MMA promotion in the world.

Professor Herbert Burns is a 3rd degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He trained under Rafael “Fofitio” Barros at Oriente Jiu-Jitsu in Brazil before travel around the globe to compete and teach.

Herbert has also competed in MMA events such as the ONE Championship, The Dana White Contender Series, and Titan FC. Since arriving in the USA, Herbert has worked closely with the Sanford MMA team and legendary Kickboxing coach Henri Hooft to improve his striking, with Greg Jones a Hall Of Fame and 3x NCAA division 1 wrestling champion to improve his wrestling and with World-renowned MMA coach Kami Brazini.
